Legal Topic Area: Child Custody in FL

Pursuant to Florida Statute 61.13001, you may not move with either his written permission or permission from a judge after you file a petition pursuant to the statute I just mentioned. Moving without one of these things could cause loss of custody. The statute is very complex, and a lawsuit under the statute can take months, so you should consult a lawyer immediately.
